Weather is what the sky and air are like outside right now — sunny, rainy, cloudy, or snowy. Climate is the typical weather pattern of a place over many years. For example, Korea has a temperate climate with four distinct seasons.

The four seasons each bring different weather. Spring is warm and rainy — perfect for flowers to bloom. Summer is hot and humid, with heavy monsoon rain in July. Autumn brings cool, crisp air and colorful leaves. Winter is cold and dry, with snow in many parts of Korea.

Weather is driven by the water cycle. The sun heats water in oceans and lakes, which evaporates into the air as water vapor. When this vapor rises and cools, it forms clouds. When clouds collect enough water droplets, it falls as precipitation — rain, snow, sleet, or hail.

Extreme weather events include typhoons 🌀, blizzards ❄️, droughts 🏜️, and heatwaves 🌡️. These are becoming more frequent due to climate change — the long-term shift in global temperatures caused by greenhouse gas emissions.

Meteorologists are scientists who study and forecast the weather. They use satellites, weather stations, and computer models to predict what the weather will be like tomorrow — or even next week!

Weather is what the sky looks like outside right now. It can be sunny, cloudy, rainy, or snowy. Weather changes every day!

Korea has four seasons. Spring is warm and has flowers. Summer is hot and rainy. Autumn is cool with red and yellow leaves. Winter is cold and snowy.

When it rains, water falls from clouds. When it is very cold, water freezes and becomes snow. When it is very windy and rainy, we call it a storm.

Scientists called meteorologists study the weather. They tell us if it will rain or snow tomorrow. Always check the weather forecast before going outside! ⛅
