Hi, My name is Joyce, I currently live in the historic UNESCO World Heritage city of Cuenca in Ecuador. I have been here for 8 years and now speak Spanish as a second language.
I have a 3.5 pound Maltese dog ,who came down from Canada with me and two rescue kitties from the streets of the city. Recently I rescued another doggie , part pit bull and street dog ...she is smart and full of energy at 4 months old :)
I love to cook , I paint, mostly abstract, and read a lot of National Geographic articles about anything and everything especially the Universe.. climate and weather.
I am from Nova Scotia Can., but have lived on Baffin Island in Nunavut (Canadian territory) and Alberta ,Toronto and in Mexico.
I have a natural curiosity for what's happening in the world and stay apprised of the things that most affect us as a society on a daily basis. I think it's important to know what is happening in the world as it's become a lot smaller since the beginning of the internet. we can now access information that we never could before, and I believe that is really important. There is so much to learn which I find amazing!
