Seollal, Korean Lunar New is a special holiday in Korea! Usually, it happens at the end of January or the beginning of February. During Seollal, families get together to say hello to their ancestors and show respect to their older family members. This is the most important part of the holiday and it's called "Charye."

When families are not eating, they often play fun games like Yut Nori. Yut Nori is a traditional board game that's like a race. Players use four sticks instead of dice to move their four "horses" from the start to the finish line. The team that gets all their horses across the finish line first wins the game.  
Seollal is a time for remembering ancestors, visiting family, eating great food, and having fun. But remember to pace yourself so you don't get too tired from all the celebrating and eating. Sae Hae Bok Mani Ba Du Sae Yo, which means "Happy New Year!"
