KakaoTalk is facing significant backlash following a recent redesign that altered the familiar “Friends” tab into a layout resembling Instagram. The update, which began rolling out on August 23, is the most extensive change in the platform’s 15-year history. While enhancements to chat functions have been positively received, changes unrelated to messaging have sparked considerable criticism.
