Common Mistakes이렇게 쓰면 틀려요
✕ It turns out he is a doctor yesterday.
✓ It turned out (that) he was a doctor.
과거에 알게 된 사실이면 turned out으로 시제를 맞춰야 하며, 종속절 동사도 과거로 일치시킵니다.
When the discovery happened in the past, use 'turned out' and match the tense of the following clause.
✕ It turns out that to be a misunderstanding.
✓ It turned out to be a misunderstanding.
'turn out to be + 명사/형용사' 구조와 'turn out that + 절' 구조를 섞어 쓰면 안 됩니다.
Don't mix the two patterns: use either 'turn out to be + noun/adjective' or 'turn out that + clause', not both.
